Davis in Harriet Tubman''s TV biopic

The Help' actress Viola Davis is ready to appear in an HBO biopic of Harriet Tubman, who assisted hundreds of labours to escape to freedom through the Underground Railroad.The unnamed film is constructed on the book "Bound for the Promised Land: Harriet Tubman: Portrait of an American Hero" by Kate Clifford Larson, reported Variety.

Davis is executive producing with her partner and husband, Julius Tennon and others.The film is in the early progress stage and has not been provided the go-ahead for production. But it's eyed for shooting during Davis' break from "How to Get Away With Murder" coming year.
