The Blacklist season 3 plot: Actor teases 'confusing kind of love' between Liz and Red when show returns

The Blacklist season 3
Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) and Raymond Reddington (James Spader) in The Blacklist
The Blacklist season 2 finale ended with everyone on the run, as its central characters Liz and Red hopped on a van to flee the country together.
In the final moments we see Liz and Reddington (James Spader) driving off together, with Agent Keen now joining him on the FBI's most wanted list, and Director Cooper (Harry Lennix) being removed from his position and replaced by Agent Ressler.
The relationship between the show's lead character Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) and Raymond Reddington (James Spader) has always been complicated.
In Episode 22 titled Masha Rostova, Liz remembers that she was the one who pulled the trigger and killed her father on the night of the fire. When Liz meets Red and tells him that she remembers everything, Red breaks own. A sweet moment between the two ensues, as Liz, finally realises the extent of his care for her.
It is obvious that they clearly care about each other very deeply, but is it romantic? Is it father- daughter love? Megan Boone, who plays Liz says, they share a confusing kind of love.
Boone told Zap2it that even she isn't entirely sure about the nature of their relationship, but she does know that it will have to be answered by the show.
"I think people see how much Red loves her, and it is a confusing kind of love," says Boone. "I think that will have to be answered. How do you love someone that deeply -- no matter what the circumstances, but especially when the circumstances are mysterious?"
Although Boone confirms that she doesn't think it's a romantic relationship, and that fans perhaps misread a comment she made a year ago to Gold Derby about the show being a "love story."
"I think she loves him," says Boone, "but I don't think there are romantic feelings. ... I don't necessarily think it's a [romantic] love story between Liz and Reddington, even though there are people out there that really feel that's what they want."
"I think it's interesting that people have so many feelings about Liz's love life, especially when it's really not the thing that's on the forefront of her mind," says Boone.
"She has so many other things that she's concerned about, but people are like, 'Just forget about your own identity, and all the things you're thinking about in your own life and just settle down."
Season 3 plot
Megan Boone tells Zap2it when The Blacklist season 3 returns, it is going to be a very different show.
"Season 3 is going to be the same characters but a different show, a very different dynamic," says Boone. "Because now Liz Keen is no longer working within the law."
Boone teased that with the task force imploding, the structure of the series is going to change.
"If you break open the entire task force, then it will be challenging to try to find the procedural aspect of the show again," says Boone.
"With 22 episodes a year, it does benefit the show to have some kind of a formula ... but we are going to sort of break open a lot of the structure of the show."

Has Keira Knightley given birth? Reports claim actress and husband James Righton have welcomed first child

Kiera Knightley
Keira Knightley and her husband James
Hollywood actress Keira Knightley has become a first-time mother after reportedly giving birth.
According to E! News, The Imitation Game star has welcomed her new addition with husband James Righton.
Although no further details have been made available, Knightley previously told Ellen DeGeneres that she was looking forward to being able to have an alcoholic drink.
"When can I drink? Please?" she joked to the talk-show host during an appearance earlier this year. "I just want a margarita! What other moms can relate to that?!"
She also admitted that she didn't have a birthing plan and was focusing on just getting it out.
"There isn't an option to sort of keep it in, is there?" she quipped. "So, I'm assuming my plan is to get it out. But apparently there's more to the plan than that. I don't know what that is. Still, my plan is to get it out. It will come out."
Knightley, who married Klaxons singer Righton in a small ceremony in Provence, France in spring 2013, confirmed her pregnancy after weeks of speculation in December 2014.
The 30-year-old star had previously opened up about her preferred parenting style in an interview with Vogue saying: "I don't want to deny my femininity. Would I want to be a stay-at-home mother? No. On the other hand, you should be allowed to do that, as should men, without being sneered at."

William Shatner could play Captain Kirk again, says Simon Pegg

Simon Pegg
Simon Pegg is scripting the latest Star Trek film
British actor Simon Pegg has hinted that William Shatner could make a comeback as Captain Kirk in the next Star Trek movie.
The 45-year-old star, who has teamed up with Doug Jung to co-write the script for Star Trek 3, made the revelation during the promotion tour for his new romantic comedy Man Up.
Captain Kirk
William Shatner as Captain Kirk in the original Star Trek
"William Shatner is an amazing actor [and] has such in incredible body of work which transcends just his time as Captain Kirk," he told Digital Spy.
"It's always about whether the story is right. There's no point crowbarring these things in as a gimmick because that does the story and the film a disservice.
"But I have no doubt in my mind that he could play Captain Kirk until the day he decided to go off into the final frontier."
Although Shatner did not reprise his iconic role in Star Trek or Star Trek Into Darkness, his former original series co-star Leonard Nimoy did.
The late actor, who is best-known for his portrayal of half-human, half-Vulcan character Mr Spock in the cult sci-fi TV series, appeared in both before his death in February.
Meanwhile, Pegg has refused to confirm or deny widespread speculation that the new project would be entitled Star Trek Beyond, insisting that the title was still "all to play for".
Star Trek 3 is scheduled for worldwide release on 8 July 2016. Fast and Furious's Justin Lin is set to direct, following the departure of JJ Abrams to direct Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Zayn Malik's first solo track after quitting One Direction to feature on Naughty Boy album

Zayn Malik
Zayn Malik's first solo song will be featured on Naughty Boy's next album.
Zayn Malik's first solo single will be featured on Naughty Boy's new album.
The music producer confirmed that the former One Direction singer has recorded a song for his album, which will be ready "in a couple of months".
Naughty Boy, whose real name is Shahid Khan, said fans would be "shocked" to hear the new track.
Speaking at The 60th Anniversary Ivor Novello Awards, Naughty Boy, said: "Zayn is definitely going to be on the album. I'm keeping it interesting. I'm an artist person and I'm drawn to proper singers and artists and to me Zayn is the epitome of a great artist.
"Our track is going to be ready in a couple of months ... You are going to be shocked by what he comes out with ... I feel that the last five years have the most important for him but I feel he has a future beyond that."
The La La La producer has been working with the former One Direction singer since he sensationally quit the British boy band mid-way through their world tour.
Their collaboration led to a Twitter spat with Malik's former band mate Louis Tomlinson after Naughty Boy posted a recording of Malik just as fans were coming to terms with his exit from the band.
Tomlinson lashed out at the producer for his insensitivity. The two were later involved in another war of words on social media after the One Direction singer made jibes at Naughty Boy, prompting Malik to intervene in his defence.
This week, in an interview with Capital Radio, Liam Payne revealed that the reason for Malik quitting the band was that he wanted to spend more time with his fiancée, Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards.
"Sometimes you have to move on because you're not enjoying what you're doing as much as you used to," Liam told host Lisa Snowdon. "He wanted to spend time with his family and his missus. That's cool with us."
Accepting an award at The recent Billboard awards the band also acknowledged the contribution of their "brother Zayn" to their global success.
Making his first public appearance after the split at The Asian Awards in March, Malik also paid tribute to his former band mates describing them as "four of the best guys".
Accepting an award for his Outstanding Contribution to Music, he said: "I'd like to take this moment to thank four of the best guys that I ever met whilst being in the band and doing all the amazing things that I did. Some of the things that we did will stay with me for the rest of my life and I'm thankful for that."

Art Garfunkel calls Paul Simon a 'jerk' for split at peak of career

Paul Simon
Singer Paul Simon performs during the Rainforest Fund's 25th anniversary benefit concert in New York.
Art Garfunkel has spoken frankly about the frustration he felt following the split of Paul Simonand Garfunkel at the top of his career.
"How can you walk away from this lucky place on top of the world, Paul?" he rhetorically asked his band mate during a recent interview. "What's going on with you, you idiot? How could you let that go, jerk?"
It has been 45 years since the duo split after the release of their most famous album, Bridge Over Troubled Water. Since 1971, the pair have come together for a number of shows, however, from the 1970s to the 1990s, and in 2003, 2004, 2007 and 2009. Another reunion scheduled in 2010, but cancelled due to Garfunkel being unwell.
"Art has some problem with his vocal cords," Simon told the Today programme back in 2012, before adding: "I would just as soon not go back and visit the past."
Garfunkel told the Telegraph that Simon's decision to part from the singer was "very strange".
He went on to say: "I want to open up about this. I don't want to say any anti-Paul Simon things, but it seems very perverse to not enjoy the glory. Crazy. What I would have done is take a rest from Paul, because he was getting on my nerves. How can you walk away from this lucky place on top of the world, Paul? What's going on with you, you idiot? How could you let that go, jerk?"
When the Telegraph interviewer suggested that Simon might have a "Napoleon complex", Garfunkel agreed, saying that at school he felt sorry for his friend because of his height, so he in turn offered him friendship as a compensation. "And that compensation gesture has created a monster," he says. "End of interview."
However, Garfunkel did not rule out a future reunion and said that a Simon and Garfunkel show would be "do-able".

Tomorrowland review: Wonder and optimism in the world of Disney

Tomorrowland
The sequences set in Tomorrowland are pure Disney
For a film made by one of the world's most powerful money-making machines and based on a theme park, Disney's Tomorrowland somehow manages to be a wholehearted tale of optimism in a doom-obsessed society.
Director Brad Bird and his co-writer Damon Lindelof are hardly subtle in the handling of their theme of hope and a better future for us all, but given how utterly miserable the world can often seem, maybe a blunt-force effort to shake a little inspiration out of us should be given a bye.
I had high expectations for this in large part due to Bird (whose previous work includes The Incredibles and The Iron Giant) and George Clooney in one of his very few summer blockbuster roles.
What gave me cause for concern however was Lindelof, who has become known – through Prometheus and Lost – for stories that don't answer the questions they set up. My hope was that Bird would be able to drill any of this out of the script, and he duly has – offering a thematically tight film with satisfying and interesting answers.
In spite of tying all the threads together well, the final third still manages to fall flat thanks to a mix of bland action, drawn out exposition and Hugh Laurie's undercooked villain. It's a crying shame, because everything up until that point is pretty great, even bordering on fantastic.
George Clooney
George Clooney is at the top of his game in Tomorrowland
We begin with Clooney's character Frank Walker – an inventor who as a child was led to a hidden dimension called Tomorrowland in which the world's best and brightest are free to create all manner of awe-inspiring technology. A sort of Mensa-verse.
Eventually exiled, Walker lives alone, gestating in his own broken dreams until a teenager called Casey Newton (Britt Robertson) arrives on his doorstep demanding answers. She too has glimpsed Tomorrowland, and learns that she might be the last chance to save it.
Both Clooney and Robertson are excellent, their chemistry proving instantly entertaining. Young British actress Raffey Cassidy - as the third of this heroic trio – is also great as the person orchestrating this final attempt to save the day.
Credit should be heaped on Lindelof and Bird for the characterisation of their leads, in particular Robertson's Casey - who is confident, self-motivated and not bogged-down by a romantic sub-plot that some other studios might have been insistent on. There a "love story" of sorts in the film, but it's unexpected, unique and handled deftly - a rarity in modern blockbusters.
The first hour and a half is raucously entertaining, highlighted by excursions into the titular futuristic cityscape and an Easter-egg laden action sequence in a toy shop. If instilling a sense of wonder was the aim, Bird certainly achieved his goal.
Tomorrowland
Britt Robertson is a name you'll be hearing a lot more of in the future
The irony is that the film's problems arise once the characters finally reach their destination. Not because what we see is any less impressive, but because the film stops asking questions and starts answering them – then rounds all that off with a climactic scene dreamt up long after the once-plentiful ideas-well has run dry.
What struck me in particular were the plot threads that were ignored, but which could have been further explored once Nix's plan is revealed. We hear that the treasures of Tomorrowland were once expected to be opened up to help the wider world, but it never happened and that's the last we hear of it.
Ripe fruit was right there to be picked but instead the villain's grand plan is tepid, and undermines the character Laurie tries hard to make work with the occasional flourish.
The message of Brad Bird's latest is admirable and delivered well – hoping to inspire young generations and shoot some life into the notion of optimism that cinema should really be all about. Any film that takes a crack at pessimism is worth paying attention to, and while it may stumble towards its conclusion, for the most part Tomorrowland is a hell of a ride.

Feeling Myself music video: Kylie Jenner and Nicki Minaj slam feud rumours after Tyga romance 'dig'

Kendall Jenner and Tyga
Kylie Jenner and Tyga have denied the dating rumours for almost a year
It was the feud that reportedly erupted over a Givenchy T-shirt but Kylie Jenner and Nicki Minaj could not have made it clearer that there is no row between them.
Anaconda hitmaker Minaj was accused of slamming rapper Tyga for his alleged romance with Kylie by wearing a "Pervert 17" baseball jersey in her Feeling Myself video with Beyonce.
However, Minaj, 32, and the 17-year-old reality star have set the record straight on Twitter.
In a Vine taken at the recent 2015 Billboard Music Awards, Kylie and her sister Kendall Jenner admit they would like to swap bodies with Minaj and Beyonce for a day.
Clearly shutting down the feud rumours, Minaj shared this clip on her Twitter account, to which Kylie replied with a heart emoji.
Shortly after the music video premiered, fans speculated that the Starships rapper disapproved of Tyga and Kylie's alleged relationship.
A source also claimed that Tyga was teaming up with Kanye West to make a "diss record" aimed at the Young Money star.
The source told Hollywood Life: "Kanye is taking [the insult against Kylie and Tyga] personally. He's sick and tired of people attacking Tyga and Kylie's relationship and he's not about to let Nicki get away with it by being so outright rude in her video."
Alleging that the track would be masterminded by Kylie's brother-in-law West, the insider added: "He plans on retaliating with a song that will diss all the haters, including Nicki, Amber Rose and Blac Chyna."
The reported "Pervert 17" jab has since been discredited by eagle-eyed social media users.
The baseball jersey is actually a design by fashion house Givenchy while singer Janet Jackson wore a similar design to the MTV Video Music Awards in 1995.

Bobbi Kristina Brown: 22-year-old expected to come off life-support as family prepare to say goodbye

Bobbi Kristina
A close source to the family has reportedly claimed that Bobbi Kristina will soon be "with her mother."
Bobbi Kristina Brown's family is reportedly gathering to take the 22-year-old off of life support.
It has been reported that the family, including her father Bobby Brown, have accepted that she is completely incapacitated and with no hope of recovery.
According to an exclusive report by MediaTakeOut, the family are to gather this weekend by her bedside to say their final goodbyes.
An insider is quoted by the publication as saying: "This weekend Bobbi Kristina is expected to meet her mother Whitney. MediaTakeOut.com spoke with two separate sources within the Brown family, who told us that the entire family is being summoned to Bobbi Kristina's bedside. This is not rumours, its facts. We're told that all life support will be removed from Bobbi Kristina, and she'll be allowed home. They expect Bobbi to be released from this world as early as today. But definitely before the weekend is over."
The decision is believed to have been made jointly by Bobby Brown and Pat Houston, after they were made co-guardians of Bobbi Kristina, with responsibility over decisions relating to her welfare and her $20m (£12.7m) estate, which she inherited from her mother Whitney Houston following her death in 2012. The family were earlier torn over the decision to take Bobbi Kristina off life-support, with her father Bobby Brown unable to come to terms with the possibility that she may not recover.
The news comes as Nick Gordon publicly pleaded with the family to see his girlfriend for one last time. He claims that he has been prevented from visiting her in hospital since she was found face down and unresponsive in the bath tub of their Georgia home on January 31.
Police are investigating reports of a possible altercation with Gordon midst rumours of cheating, the day before she was found unconscious. She was put into a medically induced coma and, as reported by her grandmother Cissy Houston, has suffered irreversible brain damage.
The 81-year-old told Entertainment Tonight: "[She is] the same, she's not progressing at all. She's not gone yet, but you know, whatever the Lord decides, I'm ready for her ... I have nothing to do with that. That's His job. It's His territory, you know? And I understand it."
Earlier, it was reported that the family were planning to bring Bobbi Kristina back to her family home - where she grew up with her mother - possibly for the last time, as they begin to accept the reality of her condition.
In circumstances tragically similar to the death of Whitney Houston, it appears that the Brown family are now preparing for the heartbreaking ordeal of letting go of Bobbi Kristina for good.

Bruce Jenner Sex Change: More revelations on About Bruce special as fans show support for reality TV's first family

Bruce Jenner
Bruce Jenner discusses his transition into a woman with his daughters on E!'s About Bruce TV special
Bruce Jenner was trending on Twitter again as the Keeping Up With the Kardashians special About Bruce was aired on British and US TV.
The emotional programme saw the former Olympic athlete open up to his family for the first-time about his plans to undergo gender reassignment.
The candid episode of the popular reality show, which was filmed in January, revealed the reactions of his family and their concerns as they laughed and cried toegther.
"My biggest fear about meeting her for the first time is just I think my reaction. I'm very facially expressive," Khloé Kardashian, 30, said. "I don't want to do anything offensive that would hurt her feelings."
Recognising their concerns and expressing his own fears for his children, Jenner commented: "They're all kind of nervous to meet her. She's always more fun, more at ease and feeling good about herself. It's all part of me. It's like having Bruce with a little icing on the cake. It only gets better."
Since the programme was recorded, Kim Kardashian West, who has been described as the most supportive following Bruce's revelations, recently revealed that she has seen her step-father as a woman. In an interview the 33-year-old said: "She is beautiful."

FKA Twigs on the ugly side of fame with boyfriend Robert Pattinson

FKA Twigs
FKA Twigs performs at the Hackney Empire in London
Singer-songwriter FKA Twigs has spoken out about the "awful" trappings of fame and the increased media attention associated with dating Hollywood heartthrob Robert Pattinson.
"It's really hard — I can't begin to explain how awful it is," she told the New York Times on Friday (15 May). "It makes you want to just stop everything sometimes. It makes you want to smash your face into the mirror."
The biracial singer says that worst of all are the racial insults on social media, some of which come from die-hard fans of the Twilight star.
"It's relentless," she said. "There's no amount of songs I can sing or dances I can dance that will prove to them I'm not a monkey."
"I didn't see my life going this way at all," she told the NYT. "But it's worth it. I'm so happy."
FKA Twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Barnett, also spoke about her love for Pattinson and the dark side of media exposure during an interview with The Guardian's magazine, The Observer, in December.
"That side of my life [the paparazzi] is nothing to do with me. That's, like… That is the… side of life of the man that I love, she said.
"And… when that started happening I had to… Because that is the opposite of who I am as a person, and it was weird… Then I had to sit back and have a conversation with myself and I had to say: that is something really horrible. No, not horrible, I don't find it horrible, it's something that's very challenging.
She went on: "I look uncomfortable because I am uncomfortable. But then it's, like, is this person in my life worth that? And he is, without question. Do you know what I mean? In comparison to how happy I am. And how I feel with him. It's 100% worth it."
In any case, FKA Twigs, 27, hasn't let the press intrusion and online bullying stem her rise to the top, having written and produced two EPs and gained widespread critical acclaim for her first album, LP1, as well as directing, choreographing and starring in a series of eye-catching music videos.
Congregata, a two hour performance combining her songs with a decade's worth of dance influences, kicks off a sold-out run later today (17 May) in Brooklyn, New York.

Fast and Furious 8: Will Jason Statham, Luke Evans Return as Shaw Brothers to fill Paul Walker's void?

Paul walker ghost
Vin Diesel confirmed that the eighth installment of the franchise will premiere on 14 April 2017
The Fast & Furious franchise will return in 2017, but speculations about the cast ensemble has kept the fans guessing after the movie was confirmed by actor and producer Vin Diesel at the Las Vegas CinemaCon on 23 April.
Fans of the street racing action franchise want a perfect replacement for Paul Walker who played the character of Brian O'Conner.
Ecumenical News suspects that after saying goodbye to the late actor, producers of the franchise may bring back Jason Statham, Luke Evans as the Shaw Brothers Deckard and Owen.
In the sixth movie of the popular franchise, Owen Shaw was believed to be dead but he was later shown barely alive during the beginning of Furious 7.
His brother Deckard Shaw went to prison at the end of the seventh movie of the blockbuster franchise.
The website suspects that in F8, the Shaw Brothers may revenge against Vin Diesel's Dominic Toretto and his crew.
After the blockbuster reception for Furious 7, Diesel, who is also the producer of the action franchise, has revealed that the eighth instalment of the American action movie is indeed happening.
"Well, I was trying to keep it close to the vest throughout the release. Paul [Walker] used to say that eight was guaranteed. And in some ways, when your brother guarantees something, you sometimes feel like you have to make sure it comes to pass," Diesel said during the MTV Movie Awards 2015.
Diesel has hinted at a bigger role for Kurt Russell, who made his first appearance in the Fast and Furious series.
Russell's Mr Nobody character was introduced for a larger story that takes place in New York, the 47-year-old action star revealed during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Mr. Nobody is a shadowy government agent who helped Dom and the rest of his gang high tech toys to make their task easy.
It is rumoured that Russell's Mr Nobody may fill the void of Walker, who died in a tragic car crash in 2013.

Former One Direction star Zayn Malik trying to stop British Muslim girls being Isis brides

Zayn Maik
Zayn Malik is a role model for an anti-Jihadist scheme
Heart-throb and ex-One Direction star Zayn Malik is the role model in a scheme to stop British Muslim girls being recruited as Jihadist brides.
The project is run by former Apprentice star Nurun Ahmed. "The radicals who groom teenage girls tell them groups like Islamic State [Isis] are their only hope for a future," she told the Sun on Sunday.
"We need girls to know this is not true and that there is hope for them in this country.
"We will give them examples of people they can relate to like Zayn Malik from One Direction to help them to understand that they have opportunities."
In February three British schoolgirls from the Bethnal Green Academy in east London – Shamima Begum, Amira Abase and Kadiza Sultana – disappeared from their homes in east London and flew to Turkey, before crossing the border into war-torn Syria.
The girls were believed to have been married off to IS militants but have since been reported missing, with the terror group now "thoroughly searching for them" after their escape.
The Prevent Engage and Inspire will use the schoolgirls' story during a series of talks given at schools in east London.
The Muslim festival of Ramadan begins in June, and there are fears that girls will run away to join the IS in Syria, during the school holidays.
Malik has previously spoken about the racist abuse he receives on Twitter: "Nasty things were said like I'm a terrorist. How can you justify that?" he said in a Mirror interview.
One song blamed the former One Direction singer for the terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers in 2001. The track called Zayn Did 9/11 features the singer's silhouette superimposed over an image of the September 11 attacks on the Twin Towers.
"How can you call me that and get away with it?
"You can say whatever you want about me, I'm not bothered. But when it starts to upset people I care about or I hear about it from my mum, that's a problem."
"I believe that your religion should be between you and whoever your belief is in."

Pan trailer: Cara Delevingne and Hugh Jackman in second preview revealing beautiful Neverland

Hugh Jackman in Pan
Hugh Jackman stars as villainous pirate, Blackbeard in Pan
Warner Bros offers up a second look at Pan in its newest teaser trailer and while it doesn't reveal too much more about the storyline than the first sneak peak, it treats viewers to some beautiful visuals, capturing just how magical a live-action setting Neverland can be.
Directed by Joe Wright (Pride & Prejudice, Atonement), Pan is somewhat of an origin story about the boy who couldn't grow up. The new trailer opens with Peter being mysteriously told by who we know is his mother (from the first trailer) that he "will see [her] again, in this world... or another".
Thereafter begins an heroic adventure when Peter finds himself in a strange new world, defending a whole host of interesting characters from an evil pirate named Blackbeard.
The movie boasts a plethora of famous faces including Hugh Jackman as the swashbuckling villain, Garrett Hedlund as a young (and seemingly good), James Hook and Rooney Mara as princess and warrior, Tiger Lily.
Other recognisable names that will feature include Kathy Burke, Cara Delevingne and Amanda Seyfried, while relatively unknown actor Levi Miller will star as the title character.
It is Hook's apparently flipped alliance that is probably most intriguing about this new take on the classic characters created by JM Barrie. The preview suggests he is on Peter Pan's side to take down Blackbeard – and he has two hands.
However, we see a glimpse of a huge crocodile halfway through the trailer, will the re-imagined storyline lead on to what we all know becomes of Hook? We'll have to wait and see.
Rooney Mara in Pan
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo star Rooney Mara will feature as Tiger Lily, princess of Neverland
The film was original scheduled for a July release date but due to the studio wanting to avoid "the cluttered summer season", it has now been delayed until October.
Head of domestic distribution Dan Fellman explained the move by saying: "We wanted to give Pan the space to extend its theatrical run, so taking it out of the cluttered summer season made the most sense. Moving the film to the heart of the fall will allow us more time to screen the picture, enabling us to capitalise on what we anticipate will be strong word of mouth."
The Wachowski brothers' picture Jupiter Ascending underwent a similar decision process last year when its release was pushed back by months due to supposed editing issue. The film fared badly at the box office and was considered a flop when it was finally seen by wide audiences; let's just hope Pan doesn't suffer the same fate...

Bobbi Kristina Brown: Boyfriend Nick Gordon publicly begs family for hospital access

Bobbi Kristina Brown and Nick Gordon
Bobbi Kristina Brown and Nick Gordon lived together in their Roswell, Georgia home before she was found unresponsive in a bathtub
He has not seen her since she was discovered unresponsive in a bathtub and now, Bobbi Kristina Brown's boyfriend Nick Gordon is publicly begging her family to grant him hospital access.
In a message released to People magazine through his lawyer Randy Kessler, Gordon, 25, says that he has been respectful of her family's wishes for him to stay away from the Atlanta medical facility.
Kessler states: "Despite his strong desire to see Bobbi Kristina, Nick has respected the [family's] wishes for over three months and has refrained from visiting or from pursuing access to her through the courts.
"He has asked through counsel many times privately and now asks both the Browns and the Houstons, please let him see her."
In April, Gordon was released from rehab after spending more than a month in the facility receiving treatment for drugs and alcohol addiction.
The rehab stint was the result of a televised intervention on Dr Phil, which featured an emotional appearance from his mother.
Cissy Houston and Bobby Kristina
Cissy Houston recently claimed her granddaughter Bobbi Kristina has 'irreversible brain damage'
On 31 January, Gordon and a friend are believed to have discovered Whitney Houston's daughter in a bathtub at the Roswell, Georgia home they once shared together.
Bobbi Kristina, 22, has remained unresponsive since and her grandmother Cissy Houston recently claimed the youngster has "irreversible brain damage" and is showing no signs of improvement.
The 81-year-old told Entertainment Tonight: "[She is] the same, she's not progressing at all.
"She's not gone yet, but you know, whatever the Lord decides, I'm ready for her ... I have nothing to do with that. That's His job. It's His territory, you know? And I understand it."
A judge recently awarded Bobbi Kristina's father Bobby Brown and her aunt Pat Houston co-guardianship of her welfare and $20m (£12.7m) estate, which she inherited from her famous mother following her death in 2012.
Confirming the ruling, a statement released by both lawyers read: "Both Mr Brown and Ms Houston are jointly responsible for decisions related to Krissi's care and medical needs.
"Both parties are delighted with the court's decision and are working harmoniously to ensure Krissi receives the best possible medical care."
Although Bobbi Kristina is still believed to be situated at a rehab medical facility, a source recently claimed that her family are considering moving her back to the town house where she was found unconscious.

Madonna's Instagram photo #rebelheart
Obsessed with posting same-sex gender kissing pictures on Instagram and sparking controversies, Madonna has done it again.
In her latest Instagram posting, Madonna touches on the Israel-Palestine conflict by sharing a picture captioned 'rebelheart', where a Jewish and a Muslim man are about to kiss.
Some hailed the photo with a user saying: "Thank your for always supporting the LGBTQA community. Even when it could put your career on the line. Because if your influence, I have the courage to be a #rebelheart and live out and proud."
Others, however, criticised Madonna for violating religious beliefs.
One user commented: "Who is Madonna disrespecting people like that. I don't understand how she has the audacity to do something this extreme."
While another user remarked: "It's only gay people who are liking this and people who don't know how to respect religions."
Earlier Madonna came under fire for posting an artwork of her kissing Disney princess Snow White on Instagram to promote her latest album Rebel Heart.

Nicki Minaj and Drake may be the only artists still signed to Cash Money soon as CSI: Cyber actor Bow Wow has become the latest rapper to leave the record label.
Announcing the news on his Facebook page, the 28-year-old, real name Shad Moss, said he has no hard feelings towards his former boss Birdman, describing it as a "peaceful situation".
In the six-minute video, the Like You rapper said: "I never had issues that a lot of other artists are having. I never had that... This is a peaceful situation. [This is] me waking up, looking at myself in the mirror, analysing myself and asking 'What [do] you want for your career?'
"I have so much music that wants to be heard and I feel like it's unfair. I've been quiet for four years, I didn't want to say [anything]. I wanted to wait until the time was right... With that being said I just feel like I had to part ways."
The soon-to-be husband of reality star Erica Mena signed to YMCMB in August 2009 but has not released any new music during his time signed to the label. His last album, New Jack City II, peaked at number 15 on the US Billboard 200 chart and sold 200,000 copies in the States.
Despite his music career stalling, Bow Wow still credits label boss Birdman for giving him a chance.
Snoop Dogg on Jeremy Clarkson's side
Hip hop legend Snoop Dogg featured on Bow Wow's first single Bow Wow (That's My Name) in 2000
He explained: "I've got so much respect for Birdman. This is a man who took the risk on signing me, not only that but a person who opened up his space to me.
"We had so many ill conversations that I learned from, that I take to heart. Anytime you get to be around somebody as smart as he is, who I consider a musical genius, you've got to be some sort of genius to put out the artists he's put out over the last couple of years... I want to thank that man for that."
The former child star then explained to his fans that his decision was also encouraged by the fact he has to financially support his family, including his four-year-old daughter Shai.
As for the fresh direction of his career, Bow Wow says his "new situation" will be "monumental" as he is now working with "legends" rapper Snoop Dogg and music producer Jermaine Dupri.
Bow Wow's debut album, Beware Of The Dogg, was executive produced by Dupri back in 2000 while Snoop Dogg featured on the rapper's hugely successful first single Bow Wow (That's My Name).
Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj
Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne are both signed to Young Money but Wayne has reportedly filed a $51m lawsuit
Since the hip hop star's departure from YMCMB, the trio have been pictured working together in the recording studio.
Aside from music, the actor has found small-screen success with the popular CSI spin-off series, CSI: Cyber, which has just been renewed for a second season.
Birdman, 46, may have his work cut out trying to rebuild the Cash Money and Young Money brands which have been rocked by several other artists quitting the labels in recent months.
In October 2014, Rack City hitmaker Tyga launched a Twitter tirade against the record label announcing he wanted to be released from his contract, while Lil Wayne has reportedly launched a $51m (£33m) lawsuit against the imprint for blocking the release of his eighth studio album.

One Direction: Louis Tomlinson insists Twitter feud with ex-bandmate Zayn Malik is 'resolved'

Fans were gripped as their online feud spilled out over Twitter but One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson says his row with former bandmate Zayn Malik is done and dusted.
The No Control hitmakers appeared on The Late Late Show With James Corden in the US where they discussed for the first time Malik, 22, quitting the group in March.
When the British talk-show host quizzed Tomlinson, 23, about his public spat with the former 1D singer and producer Naughty Boy, he insisted they are now on "good terms".
He added: "I have never have been good at holding my tongue – I think I get it from me mum. Twitter's good at connecting with the fans but also if you feel like saying something you probably shouldn't.
"It's all resolved, all good in the hood. No qualms."
In the midst of the boy band's On The Road Again tour, Bradford-born Malik suddenly announced he was leaving the group after five years.
Although they released a statement once the news broke, the remaining 1D boys have remained silent on the loss of their fifth member.
Zayn Malik
Zayn Malik quit One Direction in March stating he wanted to be a "normal 22-year-old"
Singer Liam Payne now admits that he, Harry Styles, Tomlinson and Niall Horan were "disappointed" about Malik's departure.
He explained: "Of course we were angry and surprised but we all knew the general vibe that Zayn was feeling. From the outside people could tell as well.
"There were certain parts of this job that Zayn loved and there were certain parts that he didn't. But if you don't like your job then you've got to follow your heart sometimes and go where you need to go."
Payne continued: "We were angry at first but then it was just a bit more disappointing. We wish him the best of luck with whatever he gets up to. There's no hard feelings."
The What Makes You Beautiful hitmakers are currently recording their fifth studio album and Horan has assured fans that the group are sticking together for now.
Singer Niall Horan told Corden: "The four of us love every part of it and the shows have been great on the tour and the fans deserve it. They've been absolutely fantastic to us. We enjoy every aspect of it."
